Home to local cricket clubs, four ovals, a pavilion and a local playground, Digman Reserve is a 4.2 hectare site that caters to a variety of users throughout the Newport community and beyond.
To understand the best use of this space and accommodate the present and future needs of the community, Council developed a draft master plan that considered the activities in the reserve for both formal sporting activities and the local community. The community had the opportunity to express their views throughout the master plan process which was on public exhibition between October 2017 and December 2017.
The public exhibition period was widely promoted to the local community and all stakeholders who had previously engaged with the process. A total of 842 people visited this page, with 621 people downloading a copy of the master plan. In total, 41 submissions were received during the public exhibition period. All feedback has been reviewed and, where supported, has been included in the final master plan.
At the Ordinary Council Meeting on 13 February 2018 Council endorsed the Digman Reserve Master Plan.
