DRAFT Domestic Animal Management Plan now out for public comment.

Under the provisions of The Domestic Animals Act 1994, Hobsons Bay City Council is required to have a domestic animal management plan which needs to be renewed every four years.

The main aim of the domestic animal management plan is to promote responsible pet ownership and the welfare of dogs and cats in the community, whilst protecting the community and the environment from nuisance dogs and cats.

In order to develop the plan we asked to hear from both pet owners and non-pet owners , by taking a five minute survey which was open from the 23 June - 21 July . Council used this information to help develop the draft Domestic Animal Management Plan and we now invite you to review the plan and provide any feedback via the submission for below before the 22 November 2017.
