The development of the Hobsons Bay draft Active Volunteering Strategy is a result of extensive consultation with local people, Council officers, volunteers and volunteer organisations to capture the heart and voice of volunteering in Hobsons Bay.

The 2016 consultation also captured the voice of National, State - wide and regional experiences, to assist us in planning for the future of volunteering in Hobsons Bay.

The feedback has assisted Council to carefully consider a range of principles and values and develop four succinct goal areas and aligning objectives to deliver positive impacts for volunteering in Hobsons Bay. The draft strategy was formally noted by Council on 11 July 2017 for public exhibition and comment.

We are now asking that you review the draft strategy to ensure we got it right and invite you to suggest some actions that may assist Council to develop an annual action plan. At the close of the exhibition period, all the feedback will be considered and the draft strategy will be further reviewed and then presented to Council for adoption.
