Council has been developing policies to guide the development and use of its sport and recreation facilities such as pavilions, sportsgrounds, tennis and netball courts, floodlights and cricket nets.

The draft Capital Development of Sport and Recreation Facilities Policy has been established as a framework to guide Council’s investment in sport and recreation facilities.

The draft Sport and Recreation Facilities – Licence, Lease and Hire Agreements Policy is a framework to establish agreements for the use of Council’s sport and recreation facilities.

The development of the draft policies is a result of detailed research and extensive consultation with local sport and recreation clubs and sporting associations. Consultation completed to date has included a survey sent to all local sport and recreation clubs in November 2016. Further consultation was undertaken with clubs and associations in May 2017 and included drop in information sessions to discuss the draft policies.

You are now invited to read through the draft policies and provide your feedback to help ensure we got it right. At the close of the exhibition period all feedback will be considered and the draft policies will be reviewed and presented to Council for adoption.
