Have your say on Council's Draft Waste and Litter Management Strategy!

The draft Waste and Litter Management Strategy centres on waste and litter that Council has direct control over or influence on. It outlines new directions for waste and litter management in Hobsons Bay.

The draft strategy concentrates on avoidance, reuse, recycling, and resource recovery of waste and litter in Hobsons Bay rather than disposal to landfills.

Our vision is to provide leadership and empower our community to deliver innovative and collaborative solutions to an array of waste and litter management issues. To achieve this vision, our strategy focuses on several goals.

Goals:

  • reduce and recover food waste
  • strengthen community behaviour change
  • enable resource recovery facilities and support local economies
  • a cleaner Hobsons Bay
  • a Council of excellence in waste and litter management
