Hobsons Bay City Council has prepared a Housing Strategy to plan for the housing needs of current and future residents over the next 20 years. View the key documents below to see how Council is planning to manage housing growth and change across the municipality including:

How can you get involved

  • attend one of the community drop-in sessions
  • see staff at a pop-up stall at our local train stations on your commute
  • attend the community workshop by registering here
  • provide feedback by completing the online survey here.
  • visiting one of our libraries to view and provide feedback at our Participate touch points
  • if you prefer to provide feedback by mail then please post it to:

All feedback must be received by 5pm on Friday 9 November 2018.

    The draft Housing Framework Plan is one of the key outputs of the draft Housing Strategy as it identifies the location for future housing growth and the level of change that is considered appropriate in Hobsons Bay over the next 20 years.

    The draft Housing Framework Plan identifies three Housing Change Areas:

    1. Limited Change Area

    2. Moderate Change Area

    3. Substantial Change Area
