Altona Beach precinct

Altona Beach is one of the most attractive and popular beaches in Melbourne’s West. It is home to many recreational and water sport activities such as kite surfing, paddle boarding and volleyball. The calm, clean water leads to a pristine expanse of sand ideal for soaking up the sun, having a picnic or building a sandcastle. Altona Beach is also now recognised as a fully accessible beach offering access to the water for people of different abilities. It is the first beach in Australia to provide beach matting down to the water, ideal for wheelchair access, all year round.

The existing parking controls in the Altona Beach precinct are shown in the Existing Parking Controls plan.
