Project update - 3 April 2020

You decide! What is the best option to stop cut-through traffic?

Over three weeks in April, Council invited the community to choose the best option to help stop motorists cutting through Seabrook Boulevard and Shane Avenue as they try to avoid peak hour congestion on Point Cook Road.

The five options, all of which have the potential to be implemented by Council, were based on community suggestions received during the November / December 2019 consultation. For a full review of the benefits and challenges of all ideas received, please click here.

Due to the social distancing regulations in place at the time of the consultation because of the Coronavirus, Council was unable to host face to face consultations for this project. As an alternative community members were able to

  • Attend a LIVE Q & A sessions on Council's Facebook page to have questions answered
    • Thursday 9 April, 6.30 - 9.30 pm
    • Saturday 18 April, 10 am til 12 noon
  • Vote for their preferred option on line (via Participate Hobsons' Bay) or by mail using the fliers and pre-paid envelopes distributed to over 2000 Seabrook residents on Thursday 9 April 2020.
