Background

Every few years, Council undertake an amendment to correct any errors or anomalies that may have become evident while administering the Hobsons Bay Planning Scheme. These amendments ensure accuracy and consistency without introducing new strategic changes. The last amendment of this kind was completed in 2022.

On 23 September 2025, Council resolved to request authorisation of Amendment C145hbay from the Minister for Planning and to progress to public exhibition. Council received authorisation with conditions on 12 March 2026. The conditions have been addressed and adopted in the amendment documentation. The Council Meeting Agenda and Minutes are available here.
