Better Places is dedicated to adopting a place-based approach, focusing on the overall improvement of "places" instead of individual "pieces," and presenting a new project delivery model for Council.

After working extensively with local communities, the Better Places program has developed initiatives aimed at enhancing the quality of life, work, and tourism in Seabrook and Altona Meadows. At the 12 September 2023 Council meeting, the Place Guide for Seabrook and Altona Meadows was approved, providing a synopsis of the visioning process, community feedback, and significant findings. It also includes the upcoming projects that will be implemented.
