Council has been successful in obtaining a grant from the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) to analyse transport safety issues on Maddox Road between Mason Street and Railway Parade in Newport. The analysis will support the development of concept plans for upgrades to transport infrastructure.

The first stage of the project is to better understand the issues along Maddox Road. Community members are invited to provide feedback either using the map below or leaving a comment in the textbox.
The TAC grant is primarily focused on improvements to walking and riding for local access, but also general amenity for people who live, work, or visit the area. Issues that you may wish to raise include footpath quality, crossing facilities, bicycle safety, traffic speed and noise, and other relevant issues.
Feedback for this first stage is open from Monday 13 February to Monday 13 March 2023.
