Project update November 2025

The Sport and Recreation Advisory Group has been selected, with eight representatives from a range of sporting clubs within Hobsons Bay. The group will have three meetings to discuss and inform key elements of the Allocations, Fees and Charges Policy, Facility User Guide, and the Club Funded Capital Works Policy.

Opportunities for wider community engagement will occur in 2026 once draft documents have been developed.

We’re looking for expressions of interest from local sporting club representatives to join the Hobsons Bay Sport and Recreation Advisory group. The advisory group will review benchmarking research, and members will work together to develop recommendations for Council to consider.

The group will provide support and recommendations to assist in the development of key guides and policies such as:

• Sport and Recreation Allocations, Fees and Charges Policy
• Facility User Guide
• Club Funded Capital Works Policy

Sessions will be a mix of online and in-person and expected to run over October and November 2025.
