Consultation now open for Southern Open Space!

Council is building a community heart right in the centre of Altona Meadows as we commence the consultation and implementation of the Bruce Comben Reserve Master Plan.

The improved reserve will service the people of Altona Meadows and the broader western areas of Hobsons Bay, including Seabrook and Laverton. Once completed, it will provide:

  • community gathering spaces with an upgraded playground, picnic areas and shelters
  • passive shaded open space areas running along Skeleton Creek
  • an upgrade to active recreation facilities
  • off-street carparking
  • an early years centre
  • a new aquatic and leisure centre.

Consultation on the design of the southern section of the reserve including the open space, playgrounds and picnic areas is now open. You can provide your feedback by clicking the Open Space Consultation tab below.
