Frank Gibson Reserve

Thank you to everyone who filled out a survey, attended our park drop-in session or contacted the project team directly to provide feedback for the upgrades of the Frank Gibson Reserve. The update is now complete.

The park now incorporates activities for young children to adults making this park a future family destination that community members of all ages can enjoy.

The play area closest to Allen Street now features a refurbished multi-play playground with many more pieces of new play equipment, including an accessible whirl, rope climbing frame, caterpillar slide, toddler rockers and a new swing set. There is also a set of new junior soccer goals. In addition to the new play equipment is new seating, a drinking fountain, bike parking and new garden beds.

The play area at the Sumer Street end features a new basketball hoop and key, terraced timber seats (which can be climbed and played on), balance beam and a junior bike circuit. There are new garden beds and seats in the shade and a viewing mound.

A new irrigation system has been installed throughout the reserve and the cricket pitch has been upgraded.
