Eight community parks in Laverton are being updated as part of the Love Laverton Parks project, a key Better Places Laverton initiative towards making Laverton ‘Cleaner and Greener’. Each of these parks are unique.

Following community consultation on three Laverton parks last year, we are excited to turn our attention to another three parks in the area.

We are currently seeking your input into the upgrades of Henderson Street Reserve, Bladin Street Reserve and Cropley Crescent Reserve. Concept designs have been developed for each of these parks based on what we heard from the community during the Better Places Laverton project.

Feedback is invited until Thursday 30 September 2021. Have your say by:

  • completing each feedback survey within these individual park pages to share how you’d like each of these parks to look and feel in the future

Background

As a key initiative towards making Laverton ‘Cleaner and Greener’, the Love Laverton Parks project will upgrade eight community parks as a single co-ordinated and fast-tracked program with a focus on:

  • creating a unique feel to each of Laverton’s parks that offer a variety of activities for people of all ages and abilities
  • upgrading and improving existing facilities and equipment
  • adding new landscaping and tree planting that will enhance the green character of Laverton
  • improving pedestrian and cyclist pathway connections, to increase accessibility and help to tie the parks together into a network

The McCormack Park Master Plan is running concurrently to these park upgrades as part of the Better Places Laverton Project, click here to view.
