Eight community parks in Laverton are being updated as part of the Love Laverton Parks project, a key Better Places Laverton initiative towards making Laverton ‘Cleaner and Greener’. Each of these parks are unique.

Between 28 July and 30 September 2021, we sought your input into the upgrades of Henderson Street Reserve, Bladin Street Reserve and Cropley Crescent Reserve.

Thank you to everyone who filled out a survey, attended our virtual drop-in sessions or contacted the project team directly to provide feedback for these park upgrades.

We are now taking a look through all your contributions, which will help shape the final concept designs for each park upgrade.

Background

As a key initiative towards making Laverton ‘Cleaner and Greener’, the Love Laverton Parks project will upgrade eight community parks as a single co-ordinated and fast-tracked program with a focus on:

  • creating a unique feel to each of Laverton’s parks that offer a variety of activities for people of all ages and abilities
  • upgrading and improving existing facilities and equipment
  • adding new landscaping and tree planting that will enhance the green character of Laverton
  • improving pedestrian and cyclist pathway connections, to increase accessibility and help to tie the parks together into a network

The McCormack Park Master Plan is running concurrently to these park upgrades as part of the Better Places Laverton Project - click here to read more about this project.
