Henderson Street Reserve
Henderson Street Reserve is located between Chirnside Crescent and Henderson Street in Laverton. Situated across the road from the Western Autism School it serves as a green space for the local community and students. Some mature trees create natural shade in some areas.
What’s included in this park upgrade?
The upgrade includes a new playground with a nature play focus. New colourful and textured native garden beds will frame the lawn area and spill into the play space. Climbing rope structures, a double slide and other play equipment will cater for a range of ages, which will be set among large mudstones and planting. There will be a new small barbecue area with a timber shelter set around one of the existing shade trees with new seating and a drinking fountain.
When will construction commence?
The upgrade works are anticipated to commence in June 2022.
