Calling all cyclists, drivers, pedestrians and public transport users.

We are shaping our Local Area Movement Plans (LAMPs) and want to understand your experiences using the Hobsons Bay transport network.

What do you love about it, what you want changed, and what ideas do you have on how it could be improved?

Council is developing Local Area Movement Plans (LAMPs) for the northern area of Hobsons Bay. Incorporating the suburbs of Brooklyn, Altona North, Newport, Williamstown North, Spotswood and South Kingsville. These LAMPs aim to improve the way our community travels through our city on roads, public transport, the cycling network and footpaths.

The Northern LAMPs will deliver a five year framework to guide Council’s infrastructure planning and implementation and assist with advocacy to state and federal governments to help maintain a safe, well connected, efficient and accessible transport network.

Provide your feedback by 5pm, Tuesday 5 January 2021. We welcome feedback on multiple issues.

We want to hear about your experiences using the Hobsons Bay transport network to ensure the LAMPs reflect the existing challenges and constraints of the network so solutions can be identified and implemented.

We recognise the Hobsons Bay community has provided extensive information on challenges in the network. We have collated this information in an Issues Paper for each suburb. These Issues Papers reflect the known challenges across the LAMPs suburbs, and can be viewed in the Document Library to the right of this screen.

As we are still facing state government restrictions due to COVID-19, hard copies of the information have also been delivered to all residents and businesses within the precinct for you to complete and return to Council using the reply paid envelope supplied.

Community members are invited to ask the project team any questions that they might have on the Local Area Movement Plan's (LAMPs) Northern Package.

You can load your question on the LAMP's Northern Package from 9am Wednesday 16 December through to 5pm Friday 18 December 2020.

The answers to these questions will then be published on the Facebook event and also on this site on Tuesday 22 December 2020.
